On Wednesday 23rd March, Rush Common School in Abingdon held the official launch of a brand new sensory garden in its school grounds. The colourful new area includes a quiet reading area, musical instruments, a wormery and planters to enable all members of the community to enjoy the area.

The Sensory Garden was made possible through the fundraising efforts of Chris Wilmshurst, Chair of the Board of Directors, who cycled from John O’ Groats to Lands End last summer to raise money for the facility. During his journey he was joined by a number of friends and supporters of the school, many of which joined him for the ‘Abingdon Leg’ of his adventures and raised an amazing total of over £20 000.
